🎨 Remote Art Lessons
As an I/DD provider agency founder in Oregon with 20+ years of experience in helping fields and group facilitation (in person and online), I now offer remote art lessons in private practice — designed for individuals who want social connection but don't always thrive in traditional in-person art or social settings.
I can tailor the online environment to what each person needs:
A calm, therapeutic-feeling space for gentle, skills-based lessons
A slightly more dynamic space (with permission) for practicing desensitization and exposure to uncertain stimuli
A highly encouraging, positive-focused space without harsh critique — to help build inner voice, self-esteem, and a general sense of positive regard
No two people need exactly the same thing, so let's talk through what would set you or your loved one up for success.

Group homes or foster homes with clients who seek high connection
Parents of adult children who struggle to leave the house and need small, low-pressure socializing opportunities to ease back into life

🏢 Provider Agency Founder — Consulting & Mentorship
I have 10 years of experience as founder and owner of Allies, LLC, an I/DD provider agency in Lane County, Oregon, operating under OAR 411-323. I put roughly 2,000 hours of low-wage PSW 1:1 work and unpaid prep — plus about $5,000 in initial investment — into ensuring Allies opened on 1/1/2016 with a full-time schedule on day one and a second full-time placement ready to bring on immediately.
Turning "just an idea" into a fully operating business took significant sacrifice, hard work, and dedication and team effort. My founding effort and energy were essential to making Allies what it is today with strong revenue year one. Allies now operates across Lane County with multiple sites and programs.

📋 Provider Agency Founder — Materials for Purchase
If you'd like materials to get started as a founder of a provider agency in Oregon under OAR 411-323, I'm building a growing library of checklists, resources, policies, and procedures for purchase. Executive Director Requirements
An Executive Director must have:
1 year of supervisory experience in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), AND
2 years of experience in the field of I/DD (which may include the year of supervisory experience above), AND one of the following:
A bachelor's degree in a related field (social work, psychology, education, etc.), OR
4 additional years in the field of I/DD, OR
6 additional years in a related field (education, social work, caregiving, healthcare, etc.)
Note: Some overlap is allowed — for example, healthcare experience that included supporting I/DD clients.
Other Major Requirements (Sample List — Full Details Provided in Materials)
Driver's license / auto insurance — highly helpful, though not strictly required
Good credit rating and at least $10,000 in available funds prior to opening (access to a line of credit is very helpful)
Willingness to complete all training required by federal, state, ODDS, and local entities governing business conduct
Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance for staff and clients
High school to college-level reading, writing, and analytical ability — plus willingness to learn or delegate tasks
A clear emergency support plan (you or a delegated person must be available when you're not)
